On October 17, 2026, we'll gather at Sioux City Country Club for Passport to Possibilities, Crittenton Center's annual fundraiser supporting the children, youth, and families we serve across northwest Iowa.
This year's travel theme isn't just about destinations, it's about where people start, where they're headed, and who helps them along the way.
Every day, we work with children and families who may be navigating difficult situations. Some are rebuilding after a crisis. Some are adjusting to foster care. Some are learning how to parent, find stability, or take the next step toward independence. Their paths look different, but one thing remains true: no one should have to make that journey alone.
Passport to Possibilities is an opportunity for our community to come together and invest in those futures.
Tickets are $100/person.
What to Expect
The evening will feature dinner, live and silent auctions, entertainment, and opportunities to directly support Crittenton Center programs.
First, the Food
"The Iowan" Dinner:
Because sometimes, there’s just no place like home, even when you’re traveling. Our buffet will feature some good-for-the-soul (and stomach) favorites, including:
- Flank steak
- Citrus-brined turkey
- Honey-glazed carrots featuring Sioux Honey
- Garlic mashed potatoes
- Garden salad
- Roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon and Parmesan
- Warm rolls with honey-whipped butter, featuring Sioux Honey
- A snack station for a little something to enjoy along the way
Second, the Entertainment
Guests will enjoy live cocktail music from local Sioux City musicians as they are welcomed into the event. Our main entertainment for the evening is the 7-piece, multi-talented, and award-winning Diamond Empire Band! They are bringing the energy with travel-inspired hits that will have you out of your seat and on the dance floor! Click the photo below, or the link above for a little taste of what's to come!
Additionally, you have the opportunity to take home a fun travel keepsake! Just like you'll find at cruise stops, theme parks and tourist destinations around the world, we'll have a caricature artist ready to commemorate your Passport to Possibilities experience. Guests can purchase their own custom black-and-white caricature from an artist with more than 40 years of experience, including time working for Disney. What a fun way to remember your night!
Third, the Auctions
Our live and silent auctions will have plenty to browse, including a special piece created live by a local artist during the event and auctioned that evening.
We're also bringing back one of the most meaningful parts of the event: Bid to Give.
Unlike a typical auction, Bid to Give allows guests to make a direct contribution toward items and experiences that support the youth and families we serve.
Examples include:
- $50 provides a hygiene kit or diapers for a new parent.
- $100 helps cover recreational activities for a youth.
- $250 can provide school supplies, clothing, or a luggage set for a child in care.
- $500 sponsors a youth for six months.
Many of these needs are easy to overlook, but they can make a tremendous difference. A child entering foster care with a suitcase instead of a trash bag. A teen participating in an activity that builds confidence and connection. A parent receiving the essentials they need to care for their child. These are the kinds of investments that help people move forward.
New this year, we will be featuring a new auctioning platform to allow bidders a more streamlined and smooth process to bid on silent auctions and "Bid to Give" called GiveButter. GiveButter allows guests the opportunity to browse, bid, and keep up with the auction right from your phone! Can't make the event in-person? You can still bid on your favorite items, and help support youth and families, at home with your phone! (More details and instructions coming early October leading up to the event.)

Includes a signature dessert flight highlighting businesses from each of our service locations.
Premium In-Flight Service – $50
Enjoy a luxury bottle of wine reserved for your table.
Priority Boarding – $100
Receive first access to food service. (Only TWO Available!)
These upgrades are completely optional but offer a fun way to support the event while enjoying a few extra perks. You can purchase these upgrades in advance or at the event. (note: Priority Boarding can only be purchased at the event due to limited availability.)
Dress for the Occasion
We're inviting guests to embrace the theme and arrive in their best travel-inspired attire.
Think classic and polished rather than costume. Draw inspiration from vintage air travel, European holidays, luxury cruises, iconic destinations, or your favorite passport stamp. Whether you arrive channeling old Hollywood jet-set style or modern international traveler, we'd love to see your interpretation.
