This Giving Tuesday, Crittenton Center invites you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of homeless children. Our campaign, Step Up for Homeless Kids, aims to provide a brand-new pair of shoes for every child in need in our community.
Crittenton Center cares for over 150 homeless children and youth each year. For children experiencing homelessness, something as simple as a well-fitting, sturdy pair of shoes can have a transformative impact. Shoes aren't just about comfort- they're about dignity, safety, and opportunity. They help kids walk to school play with friends, and explore the world with confidence. Unfortunately, many children in shelters wear shoes that are too small, too big, or too worn out. This Giving Tuesday, we're stepping up to change that.
WHY SHOES MATTER
When a child enters our shelter, they often come with a little more than the clothes on their back. Having the right shoes is critical for their health, mobility, and self-esteem. Proper footwear also reduces the risk of injury, blisters, and other health issues that can arise from poorly fitted or damaged shoes.
Beyond the physical benefits, a new pair of shoes can make a child feel seen, valued, and cared for- giving them a sense of normalcy during a difficult time in their lives.
OUR GOAL
This year, our goal is to raise $7,500 to provide 150 children with brand-new shoes. Each $50 donation covers the cost of a quality pair of shoes tailored to a child's size and specific needs.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
