Community Support Through Spark Good Local Grants

At Crittenton Center, community partnerships help make meaningful support possible for the children, youth, and families we serve every day. We are incredibly grateful to recently receive multiple Spark Good Local Grants from area Walmart and Sam’s Club locations, helping us continue providing essential resources across several of our programs.

Through the generosity of these local stores, Crittenton Center received a combined total of $3,000 in grant funding to directly support youth and families in our communities.

The following locations provided support through the Spark Good Local Grants Program:

• Walmart Supercenter on Floyd Blvd in Sioux City (Store #3590) awarded $500 to help purchase hygiene supplies for youth staying at our shelter. Access to personal care items helps ensure youth feel cared for, comfortable, and supported during difficult times.
• Walmart Supercenter on Singing Hills Blvd in Sioux City (Store #1361) awarded $1,000 to help provide nutritious food for youth in our shelter program. Healthy meals and snacks play an important role in supporting physical wellness, emotional stability, and daily routines.
• Sam's Club in Sioux City (#6432) awarded $1,000 for essential supplies that support families participating in services through our Family Resource Center. These resources help strengthen family stability and provide practical support to caregivers and children.
• Walmart Supercenter in Sioux Center (Store #1152) awarded $500 to support our Orange City Child Care program through the purchase of everyday necessities such as tissues, hand sanitizer, and paper towels — items that help maintain healthy, safe learning environments for children.

The Spark Good Local Grants Program supports organizations that create meaningful impact within their communities, and we are honored to be selected by these local stores. These contributions help ensure we can continue meeting immediate needs while creating safe, supportive spaces for children, youth, and families.
