Sioux City, IA: Crittenton Center announces newly-elected Mari Rickard and Jeff Stanley to their Board of Directors.
Mari Rickard was raised in Sioux City and is a proud graduate of Central High School. She retired in 2017 from work as CASA Director in Nebraska. “I am honored to be joining the Crittenton Center Board as all of their deep and valuable commitments to our Siouxland community align so well with mine.” By serving on the Crittenton Board, she hopes to make a difference and to give a child an opportunity that they might not have had before to grow up and be successful adults. In mid-August, Mari will be marrying Michael Moreland, a former Crittenton Center Board President, after which she will be known as Mari Moreland.
Jeff Stanley, a Chicago native, currently serves as CEO and Principal Consultant for HR & People Strategies, LLC, an organization focused on helping companies and leaders address their most difficult human resources challenges. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative/HR Officer at Wells Enterprises/Blue Bunny Ice Cream, Inc. “I have always been proud of the work that Crittenton Center has done in our community. I am honored to now serve on the Board and contribute to the agency’s vision to make a difference in the lives of Siouxland children and families in need.” He and his wife Kim have been married for 36 years with two adult children and two grandchildren.
Crittenton’s Board of Directors provides leadership to the following Crittenton Center programs: Preschool and Childcare Centers, Family Development, Education and Support Services to parents, and Life-Skills Training to teenagers.
Stanley and Rickard join fellow board members: Terrie Rasheed as President, Jeremy Uhl as Vice President, Larry Obermeyer as Corporate Secretary, Skye Sample as Corresponding Secretary, Jamie Ahrendt as Treasurer, Terri Curry, Melissa Lanzourakis-Joens, Deric Redmond, Susie Strohbeen, and Karleen Waller.
